Corporate Guinness World Record Event
RecordBreakers has sponsored many world record events. Here is a record of one event:
On Wednesday 19th January 2005, Brian Sterling and the Record Breakers Team entered the record books once again. The team led 445 willing and generous people to set a new Guinness World Record for Mass Plate Spinning.
Sir Brian Sterling and Record Breakers were approached to provide an unforgettable teambuilding experience as part of the European launch for a new blockbuster medication for one of the worlds leading pharmaceutical corporations, US Pharmaceutical Giant, Eli Lilly.
Sir Brian and the Record Breakers team studied the detail of the new medication, its qualities, features and benefits, together with its customer base and marketing material. From this, he conceived that it would be possible to lead the 445 expected delegates, into gaining a new Guinness World Record and do this while maintaining a theme that complimented the new product and its launch.
The main theme of the launch was balance. Sir Brian and the Record Breakers Team envisioned that it would be possible to lead the 445 expected delegates, and, within the 1 hour time-frame available, empower and train them in order to be able to balance a spinning plate on a stick, despite the fact that none of them had ever done this before!
The plan was to then bring them all together in one place and attempt to set a new Guinness World Record in the balance discipline of plate spinning.
To help achieve this, a team of Mental Martial Arts instructors were also draughted in to help. They assisted in power-coaching the delegates attending the event to enhance positive thinking and eliminate barrier-thoughts.
The rest, as they say, became history and on the 19th of January 2005 Sir Brian personally led the Record Breakers team which shattered the previous Guinness World Record, to set a staggering New Guinness World Record.
In addition a hugely motivated team of super-enthused people was created for the client organisation, and a substantial sum was raised to help the victims of the Asian Tsunami and the charity Depression Alliance.
Because Record Breakers is a charitable organisation a huge amount of positive PR is generated on TV, radio and in print, much of this PR could not be taken advantage of if Record Breakers was not unique in its structure and capabilities.
Our special thanks are extended to Yvonne Joseph and Geremy Philips, Secretary and Chairperson of the variety branch of British Actors Equity, who also helped make this event possible.
